Rodney Review - 04 Jan 2024

In “Rodney Reviews” this month, Rodney featured the exciting young pianist Alice Sarah Ott. Her latest release for DG is called Echoes of Life and apart from the 24 Preludes and by Chopin, Alice includes music by Bach, Field and Silvestrov. Critics speak of her playing as being striking for it’s sincerity and authenticity. In order to illustrate her fine technique and her amazing pianissimos, Rodney played the Prelude No 2 in A minor and the famous Raindrop Prelude as well as the Prelude No 1 in C by Bach and a short piece by John Field.
