Three years ago, the trajectory of Dr Samke Ngcobo’s life changed forever. She experienced one of
the most difficult seasons of her life, as she found herself reeling from one of the worst Bipolar
Episodes. After this episode and subsequent events, she experienced a watershed moment which
resulted in a complete paradigm shift about her mental illness that resulted in the birth of the
passionate mental health activist and advocate that she is today. She speaks to Phemelo about her
book titled ‘Reflections of a convoluted mind’
