Speaking to Nghamula Chauke, National Union of Mineworkers's National Health and Safety Secretary Masibulele Naki raised concerns about the safety and emotional wellbeing of truck drivers. This follows incidents of burning trucks in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KZN. Naki also pointed out that companies should tighten security because if this situation continues, more drivers are likely to lose their jobs and risk their lives.
