On a mission to power up Durbanites and beyond

After opening doors in 2020, just as the pandemic hit, Adoozy is South Africa’s first mobile power bank rental network, providing an on -the-go power solution to citizens of Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg . How it works is that people can rent a mobile power bank for 24 hours from any of the Adoozy power towers that are strategically placed in public locations/spaces.

In South Africa, the market is driven by additional factors – load shedding and more affordable access to smartphones, tablets, and mobile devices. Load shedding – expected to remain a reality for the next 18 months – impacts the user’s ability to remain charged and connected, either to work or to their lives. This unreliability of electricity supply has made it critical for local users to find reliable solutions that keep them connected even when the power is out.
