Ensuring efficient financial management on the Gautrain Project

A project on the scale of the Gautrain project doesn’t get over 10 years ‘down the track’ without the implementation of efficient procedures and processes, particularly as it relates to the management of public funds, never mind the complexities of a public-private partnership. Here, Preston Mabena, Chief Financial Officer of the Gautrain Management Agency, talks through the evolution of the GMA’s finances and some of the structures put in place.
