Stage 4 load-shedding expected to be reassessed and suspended by Friday, says Eskom

Speaking at a press briefing, Eskom group executive for generation Philip Dukashe said load-shedding would be reassessed on Friday. The briefing came shortly after the power utility announced load-shedding would be ramped up to stage 4 for the remainder of the week.The rolling blackouts are due to a loss of generation capacity as a result of unplanned breakdowns of risk units that were unable to be maintained as planned over the wet and cold Easter weekend.
