New Omicron sub-variants being probed by Botswana and SA researchers

A new sub-lineages of the Omicron variant of the Covid-19 has been discovered by Researchers in Botswana and South Africa. The WHO announced that the sub-lineages have so far been identified in four people in Botswana and 23 in South Africa. Outside Africa, the BA.4 and the BA.5 sub-lineages have been confirmed in Belgium, Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom.At this stage researchers say that little is known about the sub-lineages  known as BA.4 and BA.5, but that we ought not to worry, because hospitalization, infections and death figures have not spikes.
