“If He Leaves, My Money Won’t Be On Bayern”

Having scored over 30 goals in the Bundesliga so far this season, Robert Lewandowski doesn’t look like he will be slowing down any time soon, however his time at Bayern Munich could be coming to an end! The 33-year-old Polish striker will most likely not renew his contract with Bayern Munich and on the flip side, the Bavarian giants have not offered a new contract either. Lewandowksi could be setting out to Spain with rumours of Barcelona already offering him some sort of deal, allegedly. If Lewandowksit leaves the Bundesliga, the following question is posed: Will the dynamic of the league change? The answer seems like an obvious yes because where would Bayern be without ‘Lewa’ and his goal-scoring antics? Rumours have it that Bayern are even wanting to introduce a playoff game to make the league more competitive. However only time will tell…

On the latest episode of the Bundesliga Connection, DW Sports correspondent and German football expert Kres Harrington breaks down the consequences to the league should Lewandowski leave Bayern. Kres also touches on the Erling Haaland transfer saga and how Dortmund could catch up to Bayern. Kres also speaks about the German side and Hansi Flick.
