‘I work for fuel only’ — E-hailing driver speaks out during strike

Hundreds of e-hailing operators parked their vehicles on Tuesday when they embarked on a three-day strike as drivers called for their demands to be met, including the regulation of the industry by government. Drivers who convened in Pretoria marched to the department of trade and industry and the Union Buildings to hand over a memorandum of their demands.

Drivers are calling for an end to the unregulated industry, fair pricing and the vetting of drivers, among other issues.
