The life of South Africa's most prominent Muslim gender rights' activist will be celebrated this weekend with the inaugural Shamima Shaikh commemorative lecture. Many will remember Shamima as a fearless and courageous woman. The lecture is organised by the Department of Religion Studies at the University of Johannesburg.
