Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize has confirmed that the AstraZeneca vaccines South Africa purchased from the Serum Institute in India have been offered to the African Union vaccine platform. The rollout of the vaccine was suspended after a preliminary study found it to have limited efficacy in preventing the new variant discovered in the country.
