GORMLEY - MARILYN BRAUN-POLLON - JANUARY 22
One in six Canadian small businesses are considering pulling the plug, according to data released this week by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business. The CFIB says this puts more than 89,000 jobs at risk in our province, where as many as 6,500 businesses could close if economic conditions don't improve. The most at-risk sectors are hospitality (restaurants, hotels, catering), arts, and recreation venues such as gyms and event venues. Marilyn Braun-Pollon with CFIB joins Drew to tell us more about the risks, and what needs to change to improve the outlook.
