Two nurses have been arrested in Durban after they allegedly defrauded a patient who was on his death bed. In a statement Police in KwaZulu-Natal says one of the suspects is a nurse at St Augustine hospital, where the patient was admitted. The nurses allegedly went on a shopping spree with the patient's business bank card. According to the police the patient's business partner noticed that the card was being used while he was in hospital and even after he passed away. Money was allegedly also withdrawn from an ATM in the hospital. Police say some of items bought with the card were recovered when one of the suspect arrested. The two accused are expected to appear in court soon.
