#PODCAST: Teddy Mafia's funeral expected to attract large crowds amid second wave of #COVID19

By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - Large crowds of mourners are expected to attend the funeral service of the late alleged drug King pin Yaganathan Pillay, commonly known as Mafia Teddy from Shallcross, South of Durban tomorrow, which is causing concern that it could become a COVID19 super spreader event. Pillay's daughter, Navechnie Chunder, says the funeral will take place at the family home on Tauras Street, from 10am before the body leaves to the Clare Estate crematorium. 62 year old Pillay was shot dead by two unknown men at his home on Monday afternoon, before members of the community allegedly beat to death, decapitated and set alight the suspects. Even though regulations allow for only 50 people to attend a funeral, Chunder says the communities love for her father will attract them to pay their last respects, and it will be very hard to stop them from passing by.Chunder says marquees will be put on the road for mourners, as only the family will be allowed in the yard and covid19 regulations will be followed...
