Indigenous / Staple Foods in Africa 1

Throughout history, Africans have depended on super foods for sustenance and medicine to heal a multitude of sicknesses. Today, modern science is agreeing what has been known in traditional African medicine for ages about several medicinal properties of indigenous African foods. Staple foods in Southern Africa has been put on the limelight. A webinar discussing the status of staple food was recently initiated by IWMI – the International Water Management Institute.
