The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) have warned that the three remaining suspects linked to the asbestos saga in the Free State will be arrested and charged by next month. This would bring the number of suspects to ten after the arrest of seven others last week. Yesterday, the Assets Forfeiture Unit seized a number of items including luxury vehicles from Blackhead Consulting, the business premises of Edwin Sodi and his Bryanston home. Sodi is allegedly at the centre of the saga after his company company was awarded the bulk of the 255-million-rand tender for asbestos auditing and removal from houses, without a adhering to a supply chain process.
