#PODCAST: Distinguished Apollo Secondary School teacher - Mrs Suraya Naidoo loses her long-fought battle with COVID-19

By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - Family, friends, students and the teaching fraternity at Chatsworth, south of Durban are still battling to come to terms with the untimely passing of Apollo Secondary School teacher - Suraya Naidoo. She passed away earlier this week after a long battle with COVID-19, aged 57. Her husband had contracted the deadly virus and passed away just a few weeks prior. After which, Mrs Naidoo's health deteriorated and she spent more than 50 days on a ventilator. Her brother in-law, Dhev Naidoo, described her as a dedicated educator and jovial family woman. He says the family was stigmatised throughout the ordeal and he urges people to instead be supportive of one another...
