#PODCAST Cricket fraternity mourns the death of legendary sportsman, Ismail 'Baboo' Ebrahim

By Newsbreak Producer, Rachel Vadi - Tragedy has struck the KwaZulu-Natal cricket fraternity with the death of legendary cricketer, Ismail 'Baboo' Ebrahim. The 77 year old Ebrahim died of COVID-19 on Friday night. According to Cricket SA, Baboo appeared in a total of 48 first-class games during his cricketing career and bagged 179 wickets in it at an average of 21.33 and economy rate of 2.12. The figures included eight five-wicket hauls and two ten-wicket hauls. Close friend, and cricket enthusiast, Tony Oosthuizen says Baboo was one of the most outstanding South African spin bowlers of the 1960s and 1970s - and would have been one of the best spin bowlers in the world, if it was not for apartheid......
