#PODCAST: With COVID-19 vaccine trials underway, a retired epidemiologist calls on countries not to "cut corners"

This is according to retired South African epidemiologist, Dr. Jo Barnes. She told Newsbreak that medical scientists are most afraid of countries who quickly approve and export a vaccine - before all the safety trials have been adhered too. She explains that the monetary value for the country finding the suitable vaccine is massive, which therefore leads to fast tracked procedures.
