Episode 49 - Van Loggerenberg Stands Tall

--:--
We are now only one step away from the big 5-0 at Hockey the Podcast!

For our 49th episode we are joined by the superstar Anton van Loggerenberg who went one step further than the likes of Graeme Smith and Cesc Fabregas, by not only playing injured, but starring in a title win.

At the 2020 IPT in Durban, "Loggies" had dislocated his shoulder in the semi-final, but went on to produce one of the best individual performances ever seen despite playing with only one functioning arm, to help Western Province secure the title in the final. The country's premier indoor hockey goalkeeper opened up about the magnificent moment, and the impact it has had on his career.

The humble UCT student also got extremely excited by the prospect of the Indoor Hockey World Cup, while his voice really impressed Derek. Give it a listen, give it a like or share it with a friend!
