#PODCAST: Muslim community left disappointed, as the Verulam terror-attack case is struck off the courts roll

By Newsbreak Producer Shanell Daniel - The case against the 12 men accused of orchestrating a series of terror-related attacks in Durban in 2018 has been struck off the roll at the Verulam Magistrate's Court. The men were arrested in relation to the planting of explosive devices around the city - as well as a fatal knife attack at the Imam Hussain Mosque, at Verulam, north of Durban. Each suspect faced several charges related to alleged terrorist activities - along with charges of murder‚ attempted murder‚ arson and extortion. They were accused of being aligned to terror group "Islamic State" and allegedly planned the Mosque attack in May 2018.
