#PODCAST: Curator Selvan Naidoo explains how Durban's 1860 Heritage Centre has fared during lockdown

By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - As we close in on 110 days since lockdown began in South Africa, the 1860 Heritage Centre in Durban has come up with a few creative ways to keep the museum running. Curator Selvan Naidoo says the centre's new model of using social media to convey their stories has been a massive success. The centre is active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and its website too - where articles and photos are posted on a regular basis. Meanwhile, with amended regulations now allowing for museums to operate at reduced capacity, Naidoo says the centre will not open until they feel its safe to do so.
