Morricone is best known internationally as the composer behind the instantly recognisable melodies from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and "Once Upon a Time in the West." A prolific composer, he wrote more than 400 original scores for feature films and over 100 classical works. Known as "The Maestro", he began writing music at the age of six and went on to win two Oscars, several Grammys, Golden Globes, BAFTAs and numerous other accolades.
