‘Make the first 1000 days Count’ initiative - MACAH

Teenage pregnancy is on the rise in South Africa and poses a serious health and social challenge in this country, which, according to reports, already has a healthcare system under immense strain. As a result, a non-profit company in South Africa, the 'Mother and Child Academic Hospital (MACAH) Foundation, together with the University of the Free State, have partnered with the aim of providing for the well-being of teenage mothers and babies through the ‘Make the first 1-thousand days Count’ initiative.
