SOUTH AFRICA COUNCIL OF CHURCHES RELEASED THE CHURCHES COVID19 READINESS GUIDELINES

South Africa officially moved to level 3 lockdown this week (1st June) and government introduced a host of new regulations around what citizens can do under this alert level. Most of these regulations relate to the relaxation of certain rules, among these churches and other places of worship have been allowed to operate. The South African Council Of Churches has released a final copy of the SACC Norms and Standards that serve as guidelines for member churches as they prepare for the COVID readiness of their congregations. Many church organisations have welcomed the decision, but they are calling for a cautious approach. Udo Carelse spoke to the SACC President, Reverend Ziphozihle Siwa
