POLICE ARRESTED FOR BREAKING THE LAW DURING LOCKDOWN

Police have arrested several of their colleagues accused of breaking the law during the lockdown. So far, over one hundred police officers are behind bars for alleged corruption during the national lockdown. Police Minister Bheki Cele says all implicated officers must be axed from the service if they are found guilty. Meanwhile, the Gauteng Department of Community Safety and the Provincial Police have condemned allegations of corruption levelled against six members belonging to the South African Police Service. The officers were arrested for allegedly stealing an amount of thirty seven thousand rand from a car passing through a Covid-19 lockdown operation on the old Bronkhorstspruit and Witbank road in Pretoria.
