SAFM 1pm News Bulletin

Creditors of cash-strapped South African Airways (SAA) have authorised an extension of the deadline for the airline's business rescue plan to May the 29th. SAA was placed under voluntary business rescue in December last year. The Business Rescue Practioners have requested the latest extension because of the global coronavirus pandemic. SAA has not made a profit since 2011 and has received more than 20-billion-rand in bailouts in the past three years.
