POLICE GO AGAINST PRESIDENT'S COVID-19 PUBLIC GATHERING REGULATIONS

Deputy police minister Cassel Mathale has had harsh words against the Limpopo police management for police's failure to enforce the Covid-19 public gathering regulations during the funeral service of police officer in Thohoyandou. Hundreds of mourners, had attended the funeral service of the slain Warrant Officer Stanley Mudau. Mudau was stabbed to death allegedly by a rape suspect whom he had wanted to arrest on Sunday last week. The mourners at the deceased's residence were not wearing masks or given disinfectants and water to wash their hands. A visibly irritated Mathale urged police led by Acting Deputy Provincial Commissioner Jacob Ramokolo to enforce the regulations as outlined by President Cyril Ramaphosa without fear or favour.
