No commemoration of Human Rights Day

For the first time since the advent of democracy, South Africa will not commemorate Human Rights Day. This as the Corona virus continues to spread across the country forcing government to cancel all public gatherings. After declaring Covid19 a state of national disaster on Sunday, President Cyril Ramaphosa instructed that all gatherings should be limited to not more than 100 people to control the rapid spread of the virus.
