Parents and Early Childhood Development practitioners in South Africa are frustrated by the order to also close ECD centres in compliance with president Cyril Raphosa's announced measures to stem the outbreak of COVID-19. Ramaphosa has prohibited gatherings of more than 100 people and has also ordered the early closure of schools for the first term, until the Easter weekend.
