President calls for a special cabinet meeting

President Cyril Ramaphosa has called a special cabinet meeting today (Sunday) as the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus increases to 38. Health minister Zweli Mkhize has confirmed that the number of confirmed cases has jumped from 24. Mkhize says seven new cases have been confirmed in Gauteng, six in the Western Cape and one in KwaZulu-Natal. Three of the newly confirmed cases are of people over 70. The virus can affect elderly people more severely. All of the confirmed new cases are of people who had travelled overseas.
