GORMLEY - SELF ISOLATING AFTER ASIAN CRUISE - FEBRUARY 21

A Weyburn couple is in self-isolation at their home following a month-long cruise that ended in a coronavirus scare. Tom Schuck and his wife Marilyn left Weyburn for Singapore in Mid-January, where they boarded a Westerdam cruse along the Asian coast. When they reached Hong Kong, approximately 800 people got off the cruise and 500 more got on, and health concerns suddenly became apparent. The passengers had their temperatures taken, and ports in Japan, Guan, and Thailand all refused the ship, leaving them sailing in circles. Eventually the Schucks were able to disembark in Cambodia and make their way home. Now, the couple is self-isolating despite feeling healthy, to protect the rest of the community if they do develop symptoms. Tom joins Gormley to discuss the experience.
