After a season playing only on half-ice, the Saskatchewan Hockey Association has moved novice hockey back to full ice in some regions while keeping the half ice format in others, effective Jan. 1. When the half-ice move was first announced last year, it created controversy as some argued that half-ice resulted in more ice time for the teams and helped them develop puck-handling skills, while others said the smaller ice surface wasn't teaching kids to play the proper game and increased the risks of injuries and collisions. Saskatchewan Hockey GM Kelly McClintock joins Gormley to talk about half-ice vs. full and some of the feedback they've heard from parents. Which is better for learning hockey players?
