The High Court in Pretoria has suspended the operations of a private consulting company that the City of Tshwane appointed late last year to oversee the running of the Wonderboom National Airport outside Pretoria. The court's decision comes after airport management filed an application opposing the allegedly irregular appointment of the company. The Civil Aviation Authority has downgraded the airport. The city would have paid the company in question approximately 20-million-rand for a three-year period.
