The Grade 3 lass from Phoenix, north of Durban, recently won silver and received the title of Woman Candidate Master at the African Youth Chess Championship in Namibia. Adding to her many titles, after picking up chess just 10-months ago, Budhram also won the Under-8 Blitz Chess Champion title at the South African Junior Chess Championship in Boksburg last week.
