Gender activists call on Ramaphosa to pull out of Power FM’s chairman’s interview

Two organisations who work in the area of gender based violence have asked president Cyril ramaphosa to pull out of a planned event because the person who will speak to him has been accused of assaulting his wife. The president is due to participate in the event hosted by the radio station Power FM. It’s called the Chairman’s Conversation that would see him answering questions from the station’s owner Given MKhari. Last year Mkhari and his wife laid charges of assault against each other.
