SAA alleges union failed to attend restructuring meeting

South African Airways has denied that it failed to consult unions before announcing to the media that it is embarking on a restructuring process that may lead to job losses, saying the unions failed to attend a meeting last week. It says written notices were sent to the worker representatives. It says the restructuring process is crucial to its turnaround strategy.
