Siyanda Calvin Ntenga, popularly known as Ntenga, is a social entrepreneur and philanthropist
He studied and worked at Transnet for 10 years, while doing his apprenticeship programme at Transnet he was chosen and awarded with the apprentice of the year award in the country.
He left Transnet few years where he was a Turner Machinist to fully commit himself to his businesses, currently he's the director of Ntenga School Shoes, a school footwear brand which are already on demand all over the country and Botswana.
He also gives talks to township and rural schools around SA and offers mentorship to learners through his NPO Ntenga Foundation Despite his tough upbringing at eSikhawini a small township in Richards Bay, Ntenga has overcome obstacles on his journey and made a name for himself. In 2015 he was nominated at the South African Of The Year Awards under Spirit Of Humanity category. 
He is also founder and chairman of Ntenga Foundation, a non profit organisation which has donated over 15 000 school shoes to pupils throughout South Africa. 
He is also the founder of Durban’s biggest charity race “Ntenga Foundation Charity Race” which takes place on June 16 annually. All proceeds raised from the event are used to purchase school shoes to be donated to children living in less privileged communities. Ntenga also supports various charity organizations and ensures that not only him, but also other business people in South Africa establish mechanisms, no matter how big or small, to give back to their respective communities.
