Sudan's public prosecutor has charged ousted President Omar al-Bashir

Sudan's public prosecutor has charged ousted President Omar al-Bashir with incitement and involvement in the killing of protesters during the mass protests that led to the end of his decades-long rule, as security forces reportedly opened fire on demonstrators with live rounds. Bashir is also facing an investigation over allegations of money laundering and financing of terrorism. The charges were announced as Sudan's military council and opposition groups reached an agreement on a power structure for the country's transition.
