Mamatu and Magakwe scoop gold in 100m of ASA Senior Championship

The first day of Athletics South Africa Senior Championships was disrupted by heavy rains and lightening in Germiston Stadium yesterday. The Senior Championships that were scheduled to start at 9am were delayed by two hours. As if this was not enough then load shedding added to their frustrations in the evening, forcing the event to be cut even shorter. World Champion Caster Semenya was one of those who performed yesterday winning the 5000m in 16:05; with Tebogo Mamatu clinching the 100m Women’s final in 11:45. Mamatu has more.
