Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, has dismissed former SARS boss Tom Moyane's application to cross examine Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan. He delivered the decision at the State Capture Commission of Inquiry in Parktown, Johannesburg. Last year, Gordhan told the Commission that former President Jacob Zuma was set on appointing Moyane without testing him against other candidates. Zondo says Monyane failed to outline how Gordhan had implicated him in his evidence as required. Zondo also ruled that Moyane did not submit his own version of events that disputes Gordhan's testimony as required by the Commission rules. Zondo says Monyane also did not argue why his cross examination would be in the best interests of the Commission.
