We will use speed against Al Ahly in Egypt - Pitso Mosimane

Mamelodi Sundowns Coach Pitso Mosimane says his team will use speed when they tackle Al Ahly in the African Champions League second leg quarter-final match in Egypt on Saturday. Sundowns humiliated the Egyptian giants Al Ahly 5-0 in the first leg encounter at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday. Mosimane also added that thorough preparations helped his team. It was the first time the eight-time champions Ahly suffered a 5-0 defeat in the Champions League. It was also their heaviest defeat in history having previously lost 5-1 to Mexican team Monterrey in the FIFA club World Cup in Morocco in 2013. Mosimane says the victory will go down to their team’s archives. The 2016 champions totally dominated the match from the onset until the end. They could have scored more than five goals had it not been for the cross bar and lack of killer punch in front of goal. Mosimane says it was not a fluke. Sundowns are carrying the SA flag after the compatriots Orlando Pirates failed to reach the quarter-finals. They have also been doing well on the continent in the last five years. Mosimane says it is important for them to make a big statement on the continent. It was also the first time the Brazilians won against the African team of the century in five attempts. Ahly beat Sundowns on two occasions at home, while the other two matches were drawn in SA. Mosimane says he will show humbleness despite the big win. The Sundowns players did their famous celebrations with their fans at the end of the match. Even the club President Patrice Motsepe was also at the stadium to witness a great win. Mosimane says it meant a lot for them to beat Ahly.
