Majoro admits to floppy season but looking forward to Pirates clash
Bidvest Wits striker Lehlohonolo Majoro will lead “The Students” against his former team Orlando Pirates in the Absa Premiership match at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Fresh off a 0-0 midweek draw against Mamelodi Sundowns at Orlando Stadium the Buccaneers will be looking for a win to move up the log. Both sides are tied on 41 point and the situation is not all doom for these teams, as Vincent Pule is expected to be back on field and also The Clever Boys’ captain Thulani Hlatshwayo. However Pirates will still face their counterparts without some of their key players and Majoro believes there are strong nevertheless. Though the striker parted ways with the Soweto Giants three years ago, he still points out their strong points to note ahead the clash. It was clear that Majoro’s part was done in the team in the end of season 2015/16, when him and the likes of Rooi Mahamutsa and Felipe Ovono were left behind to train on their own during Coach Muhsin Ertugral’s era while the rest of the squad was in North West for the pre-season training. The 32 year old Free State born striker who joined Bidvest Wits from Cape Town City in January 2018 admits to have had a rough season at Wits with lack of game time hampering his progress.
