PSL players need to support us – Modise & Jane
The upcoming professional women’s football league has been the talk of the town lately including the little amount of the money earned by Banyana Banyana players, compared to their counterparts Bafana Bafana. The national women’s team has been performing much better in recent years‚ including finishing as runners-up at the Africa Women Cup of Nations in Ghana last year booking a place in the Fifa World Cup in France in June this year. The former Banyana Captain Portia Modise cries over the PSL players, saying they do not support women. Banyana Banyana and Canberra United’s Refiloe Jane also mourned the gender segregation in South African football. Jane has performed admirably for the Australian outfit since her arrival last year August. She has also excelled in the national team having made 100 appearances and playing a pivotal role in the team’s overall African Women’s Cup of Nations tournament.
