The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse, OUTA, has urged motorists not to ignore a summons from the Road Agency, SANRAL over unpaid e-tolls. OUTA is preparing a test case against SANRAL after default judgments were entered against motorists who don't pay e-tolls. On Wednesday, the Credit Bureau Association said consumer information relating to e-tolls will not be held by credit bureaus. SANRAL, through the Electronic Toll Collection company, obtained default judgements against motorists who don't pay e-tolls. Default judgments are entered against a debtor who does not respond or defend a summons. OUTA CEO Wayne Duvenage had this to say.
