Four Arab teams in the champion’s league quarter-finals as Mosimane awaits the draw

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane says he will be happy to draw any team in the CAF Champions League quarter finals. The CAFCL last eight draw will take place at 19:00 today in Cairo. Mosimane and his charges are set to face a tough draw after they subsequently finished as Group A runners-up behind Wydad Casablanca. The Brazilians will face either defending champions Esperance‚ DR Congo giants TP Mazembe or record eight times champions Al Ahly. Speaking to SA FM’s Thabiso Mosia this week, Mosimane said he expects the same competition from either side. The Brazilians beat Casablanca 2 – 1 at home in the first leg and they had hoped to advance to the knockout stages as the group winners. Having lifted the Champions League in 2016 at the expense of Zamalek in Egypt, Mosimane could not find himself celebrate the 1-0 loss in Morocco this past weekend as it meant that they finish second in Group A based on head to head with Wydad.
