11 Mar Do banks discriminate against black people?

Yesterday the SABC's Special Assignment programme aired an episode looking into issues of whether or not banks discriminating against black people. Frans Mokomane one of the prejudice clients interviewed by Special Assignment said he was ripped off with R 150 000 due to unfair discrimination with interest rates on mortgages by FNB. For more we are now joined by financial investigating consultant, Mr Emerald van Zyl, who is renowned for fighting against banking abuse. He says the Reserve Bank, Human Right Commission, Banking Council and Standing Committee Finance Parliament are aware of such discrimination but failed to act.
