Chiefs players contradict each other on the team's league title chances- Rama & Parker

There’s conflicting statements coming from Kaizer Chiefs camp regarding the team’s chances of still being part of the Absa Premiership title chasing pack. Last week, right –back Kgotso Moleko was clear that his team doesn’t stand a chance and they must focus on at least making it in the top three. With eight matches to go in this season’s campaign. Chiefs is currently eight points behind log leaders and second placed team Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively. Another Amakhosi defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele has also given up on the title race this season. Chiefs haven’t won silverware in four years now and veteran attacker Bernard Parker openly contracted his teammates just before this morning’s training session at the club’s village in Naturena. Some of the players and officials at Chiefs still believe that anything is possible in the next eight games especially given some of the results in the league in the past two weeks. But Mphahlele continues to be realistic and says maybe things would’ve been different if the current coach Ernst Middendorp had arrived earlier this season.
