Blitzbokke keen to start season as Brown plays decade season in Dubai after almost retiring.
Former Springbok Sevens captain Kyle Brown believes the success of any team at the Dubai leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series is the ability of the team to bring the curtain down, on their pre-season and finally get on to the field of play. Brown says the team is relishing the prospect of playing and trying to defend their back-to-back series wins. Playing in his 10th season in Dubai, Brown revealed that he was meant to hang up his boots last season were it not for a knee injury that motivated him to come back and play another season. Brown speaks about his season ending knee injury in Singapore earlier this year and admits he thought it was the end of his career. Brown has praised the Blitzbokke medical staff and his support structure for helping reach his goal of playing in the season opening tournament in Dubai and for one more season.
