Bulls to appoint Super Rugby coach and announce Schalk Brits signing soon.

Blue Bulls high performance manager Xander Janse Van Rensburg has confirmed that the Bulls are finalizing the appointment of their Super Rugby coach. The Super Rugby job at the Bulls has been vacant since the departure of John Mitchell to become assistant coach for England. Super Rugby assistant coach Pote Human, former Springbok and Bulls captain Victor Matfield and Southern Kings coach Deon Davids are rumoured to be on the short-list for the job. Janse Van Rensburg also confirmed that former Springbok wing Cornal Hendricks has been cleared by two specialists regarding his heart condition and that was enough to convince the Bulls to sign Hendricks who has been in the rugby wilderness for three years now. Springbok hooker Schalk Brits is on the verge of signing for the Bulls to play in next year’s Super Rugby competition. The 37-year-old Brits is without a club after retiring earlier this year having played for a decade for English premiership side Saracens. Janse Van Rensburg says Brits had always been part of their plans and his wealth of experience will be valuable to the team next year
